In response to extensive passenger and agent feedback, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is set to elevate its renowned ‘Free At Sea’ package with the introduction of the ‘More At Sea’ initiative. This enhancement promises to offer passengers a wider range of premium inclusions and benefits, ensuring a more comprehensive cruising experience.

Beginning in January 2025, passengers on seven-day or longer voyages can expect additional specialty dining options, improved connectivity, and an upgraded mobile app among other benefits. This move aligns with NCL’s commitment to continuously enhance the guest experience based on valued feedback.

    Enhanced Specialty Dining

NCL is set to overhaul its specialty dining offerings with the introduction of a flat cover charge, replacing the existing à la carte pricing model. This change is aimed at providing passengers with simpler and more predictable dining expenses, starting from January 2025.

Additionally, passengers will have access to more specialty dining meals on voyages lasting seven days or longer. This move is part of NCL’s broader strategy to offer more inclusive and varied dining experiences, catering to diverse culinary preferences.

Improved Connectivity and New Mobile App

A significant highlight of the ‘More At Sea’ initiative is the introduction of high-speed Starlink internet access, promising faster and more reliable connectivity for passengers. This enhancement aims to keep guests connected with the outside world, whether for work or leisure.

NCL is also rolling out a new mobile app across its fleet by the end of the year. The app is designed to simplify the cruise planning process with features such as intuitive browsing and booking for onboard reservations, an easier check-in process, transparent purchase views, and a dynamic home screen displaying relevant cruise information.

Enhanced Beverage Options and Onboard Entertainment

As part of the upgraded offering, passengers will enjoy a broader selection of premium spirits and cocktails, further enhancing the onboard dining experience. This addition reflects NCL’s commitment to providing high-quality and varied beverage options to its guests.

NCL is also redefining its onboard entertainment with a promise of more varied programming available around the clock. This initiative is designed to ensure that guests have access to a wide range of entertainment options, making their cruise experience more enjoyable and engaging.

These enhancements are a direct result of valuable feedback from NCL guests and travel partners, highlighting the company’s dedication to adapting to their needs and preferences.

Shore Excursion Credits and Inclusive Airfare

The ‘More At Sea’ package retains some of the popular features of the ‘Free At Sea’ package, including a $50 credit per shore excursion for the first passenger. This credit aims to incentivize passengers to explore more destinations and enjoy unique experiences.

Moreover, free airfare is available for the second passenger, as well as free sailing for the third and fourth passengers on selected voyages. These offers are particularly attractive for families and groups, promoting more inclusive and affordable cruising options.

    Fleet Expansion and Future Plans

NCL’s fleet is set to grow with the addition of the Norwegian Aqua next year and the Norwegian Luna in 2026. This expansion is part of the company’s broader strategy to cater to the increasing demand for diverse and innovative cruise experiences.

According to NCL President David Herrera, this initiative is part of an ongoing effort to understand and address what guests value most during their cruises. He stated, “We have invested a lot of time listening to our guests and our travel partners and we’ve found that what they want is to see more, do more and enjoy more when they vacation with us.”

Herrera added, “They also want to do so with ease and simplicity, which is why today we are excited to announce the evolution of our signature ‘Free at Sea’ package to the all-new and elevated ‘More At Sea’ package.”

    Comprehensive Upgraded Experience

The ‘More At Sea’ initiative promises a more inclusive and superior cruising experience, featuring enhanced guest vacations with added variety, choice, and value. NCL is keen on providing guests with more premium beverage options, more specialty dining experiences, and improved connectivity through Starlink’s high-speed Wi-Fi.

These upgrades underscore NCL’s commitment to offering a best-in-class cruising experience, continually adapting to the needs and preferences of its guests. The initiative also includes a dynamic new mobile app to further simplify cruise planning and onboard navigation.

In summary, the ‘More At Sea’ initiative is a testament to NCL’s proactive approach in refining its services and offerings to elevate guest satisfaction and ensure memorable cruise experiences.

NCL’s ‘More At Sea’ initiative represents a significant step forward in enhancing the cruising experience for its passengers. By introducing more inclusive and premium offerings, the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to continuous improvement based on passenger and partner feedback.

The combination of enhanced dining options, improved connectivity, premium beverages, and expanded entertainment ensures that passengers will have a more enjoyable and seamless voyage. As NCL’s fleet continues to grow, these advancements are set to redefine the future of cruising with NCL.
