Seabourn’s Sales Director for the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Wendy Lahmich, will be stepping down from her role. Lahmich has decided to retire from the cruise industry after a long and distinguished career.

With nearly three decades of experience, Lahmich has been a significant figure in the industry, working with several leading cruise lines. She leaves behind a legacy of successful partnerships and outstanding contributions to the sector.

Wendy Lahmich began her cruise industry career in 1996, starting as a sales executive. Over the years, she has worked for renowned companies including Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, and Seabourn.

Her career has spanned almost three decades, during which time she has built a reputation for her exceptional skills in sales and partnership development. Lahmich’s ability to negotiate and maintain strong business relationships has been a defining feature of her professional journey.

Wendy Lahmich’s decision to step down is driven by personal reasons. She plans to focus on her family and spend more time in the Lake District and Derbyshire, where she has deep roots.

Expressing her feelings, Lahmich said, “While I am deeply sad to leave the Carnival family, an industry I love and all the great friends I have made over the years, I feel it is now time for me to start the next chapter in my life, to focus on family, possibly move back to my roots in the north and spend more precious time with my mum in the Lake District.”

Lynn Narraway, Vice President of Seabourn UK & MEA, acknowledged Wendy Lahmich’s remarkable contributions. Narraway highlighted Lahmich’s dedication, skill, and the respect she commands within the industry.

“Wendy has spent the most amazing 28 years with the Carnival family working for Carnival Cruise Lines, then Holland America Line and finally exclusively for Seabourn,” Narraway stated. “Her ability to initiate, develop and grow partnerships is outstanding.”

Narraway also noted, “It has been a huge privilege to work alongside Wendy all these years. She has become the face of each brand and is so well known for her passion and enthusiasm.”

Wendy Lahmich’s departure marks the end of an era for Seabourn and the wider cruise industry. Her colleagues and business partners alike will miss her extensive knowledge and expertise.

Narraway remarked, “I know that not only will she be missed by her team and work colleagues but also by all our travel partners. Her passion and enthusiasm have been instrumental in Seabourn’s success.”

Wendy Lahmich will remain with Seabourn until July 1, ensuring a smooth transition for her successor. Her role will be advertised from the end of this week.

During her remaining time, Lahmich will continue to be actively involved in the business, passing on her wealth of experience and knowledge to her replacement. Narraway confirmed, “She will no doubt continue to fly the flag for cruise.”

Wendy Lahmich’s decision to retire represents a significant change for Seabourn and the cruise industry at large. Her nearly three-decade-long career has been marked by dedication and excellence.

As Lahmich steps down, her legacy of strong partnerships and professional excellence will undoubtedly continue to influence the industry. Seabourn and its partners are set to feel her absence keenly.
