bmi regional has announced plans to expand its Bristol network with the addition of a new seasonal route to the island of Jersey.
The weekly flights, which will commence on July 16, will depart on Saturday direct from Bristol to Jersey. The route will operate until September 3, 2016. Tickets are available on sale, with fares from just GBP80 one way or GBP125 return.
With its beautiful villages, sandy beaches and historical attractions, Jersey is only a short flight from Bristol, offering travellers an ideal weekend getaway destination.
Commenting on the new route, Jochen Schnadt, bmi’s chief commercial officer, said: ‘Bristol is a major UK hub for us with our existing routes performing well both with business and leisure customers. With our stated ambition to offer relevant products for our customers trying to evolve our product offering in line with our many loyal customers’ demands, we are delighted to be offering these seasonal service on this highly sought-after route. As customary with bmi regional, our customers will experience the usual quality, professionalism and high level of service that travellers on our existing routes have enjoyed for years.’
Shaun Browne, aviation director, Bristol Airport said: ‘We are delighted with the continued expansion of bmi regional’s route network from Bristol Airport. The introduction of the Jersey flight for the summer season to the largest of the Channel Islands, less than one hour’s flight time from Bristol offers a destination with a variety of magnificent castles, activities and events that will suit all customers.’
All fares are inclusive of 20kg hand luggage, complimentary drinks and snacks on board, allocated leather seating, dedicated manned check-in and a faster 30 minute check-in time.
bmi regional has also recently increased its services and improved flight times on its existing routes out of Bristol. The airline currently operates seven routes from Bristol to Aberdeen, Paris, Milan, Munich, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Hamburg.
