Grain Store Cafe & Bar set to open at Gatwick Airport

Travellers and holidaymakers passing through London Gatwick can now look forward to a refreshing dining and wining at the new Grain Store Cafe & Bar, set to open at Gatwick Airport this autumn.

The Zetter Group’s Grain Store restaurant will open at Gatwick’s South Terminal and will feature a new family-friendly all-day menu, specifically created for airport travellers.

Reportedly introducing the standards of seasonality and sustainability, the airport cafe menu will feature fresh and organic vegetables, as well as fish and meat sourced from local British producers. Of special mention is a wholesome breakfast menu created by Chef Bruno Loubet exclusively for Grain Store Cafe & Bar. It also features a bar with creative cocktails, a wine list and unique non-alcoholic drinks and smoothies.

Mark Sainsbury of The Zetter Group said: ‘We are very excited about this new project with ARE and Gatwick. Grain Store really has challenged the orthodoxy that meat and fish should be centre stage; vegetables are the stars of our show, and we are excited to bring Grain Store’s award-winning approach to food to new audiences. This is Bruno cooking what he loves best, and now travellers at the airport can enjoy a delicious and healthy meal before flying.’

Charlotte Christiansen, Business Development Manager at Gatwick Airport, said: ‘Gatwick is absolutely thrilled to be Grain Store’s first opening following their flagship restaurant in King’s Cross. As part of our ongoing transformation of Gatwick’s retail and restaurants, we’ve been working tirelessly to attract brands that reflect what our passengers want and need. This is a perfect example of our work paying off. We’re looking forward to welcoming the first passengers through the door and showcasing the renowned cooking talents of Bruno Loubet.’

The Zetter Group, Chef Bruno Loubet and Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE), a family-owned business with over 40 years’ experience operating food and drink outlets in airports, have come together to open the restaurant at Gatwick. The space is designed by the renowned Russell Sage Studio – the designers of some of London’s most iconic restaurants including The Savoy Grill, Quaglino’s, and the original Grain Store in King’s Cross.
