Hertz responds to growing supercar rental market

The Hertz Corporation, a subsidiary of Hertz Global Holdings, a US-based car rental company, has added to its supercar rental line-up in Europe.

Supercars can now be rented from Hertz outlets in France and Italy, with the Netherlands also offering the service from April this year. The new European coverage is augmented by the addition of more up-market models to the existing fleets in Spain and the UK.

The supercar rental segment is experiencing good growth, with more motorists than ever prepared to pay for the opportunity of driving exotic models with purchase prices that exclude all but the very wealthy from enjoying permanent ownership. Getting behind the wheel of an upmarket brand is particularly popular as an additional treat when holidaying abroad.

Included on Hertz’s supercar list are British favourites, the Bentley GT Continental the Jaguar X-KR and the McLaren MP-12C, while the Italian marques are represented by the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider Scaglietti and the Lamborghini LP 560 Spyder. Porsche, Aston Martin and Range Rover models are also listed, but all models are subject to regional availability.

The group president of RAC International, Hertz Corporation, Michel Taride, said. ‘The expansion of our supercar rentals in Europe is fantastic news for customers worldwide who want a taste of the millionaire lifestyle. Our supercars are being driven out on the open road by true car enthusiasts, people wanting to land an important business deal, and those desiring an unforgettable experience of a lifetime.

‘Once again, Hertz is demonstrating its flair for providing highly rewarding customer experiences and a wide choice of offerings to suit every occasion.’
