Loganair is set to launch a new seasonal flight connecting Glasgow to Newquay, starting May 2025. The airline aims to offer convenient travel options.

This weekly Saturday service provides direct access between Scotland and Cornwall, making travel easier and more affordable. Initial prices start at £89.99.

Loganair has announced the introduction of a new seasonal flight route from Glasgow to Newquay, set to commence in May 2025. This service will operate weekly on Saturdays and is planned to run until September, offering travellers a direct and convenient connection between Scotland and Cornwall. The initial fares for one-way travel are set at £89.99.

The Glasgow to Newquay route complements existing direct flights to Newquay from various cities including Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Newcastle. Loganair’s Chief Commercial Officer, Luke Lovegrove, expressed enthusiasm for this addition, citing the airline’s dedication to strengthening regional UK routes. He mentioned, “We will continue to work closely with the teams at both airports to maximise the potential of this route.”

Chris Tibbett, Aero Director at AGS Airports, which owns Glasgow Airport, highlighted the significance of this service for the airport. “We are thrilled to see Glasgow’s home airline, Loganair, expanding its network,” Tibbett remarked, indicating that the route reinstatement is a response to growing passenger demand. This development underscores Loganair’s commitment to connecting more destinations within the UK. The move is expected to attract thousands of passengers eager to explore Cornwall’s renowned scenery.

The collaboration between Cornwall Airport and Loganair is seen as a strategic effort to bolster travel options for passengers. The focus is on ensuring that this reinstated route not only meets, but exceeds, previous levels of success. With multiple destinations now accessible from Newquay, the route is a critical component of Cornwall’s transport strategy.

The airline’s network now includes various key UK destinations, aligning with current travel trends favouring domestic leisure trips. This positions Loganair well within the competitive landscape of regional air travel.

Such collaborative efforts are crucial to achieving sustained growth in passenger numbers and ensuring that the route meets the high expectations set by the involved stakeholders. Continuous engagement between the airline and the airports aims to identify and address any challenges swiftly.

The introduction of the Glasgow-Newquay route by Loganair marks a significant step in enhancing UK regional connectivity.

This service not only opens new travel opportunities but also supports local economies, making it a promising development for the summer of 2025.
