The Lufthansa Group has reinforced its commitment to its UK and Ireland operations with a key appointment.

Patrick Borg Hedley steps into the role of sales chief, bringing extensive experience.

In an important development, Lufthansa Group has introduced Patrick Borg Hedley as the new general manager for sales in the UK, Ireland, and Iceland. This strategic move underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its operations across these regions. The role previously held by Frank Wagner, now relocated to Berlin, entails managing commercial and sales activities for all Lufthansa Group carriers, including Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, Swiss, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings.

Borg Hedley is not new to the aviation industry. With over 25 years of experience with the Lufthansa Group, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position. Previously, he served in a similar capacity in the Baltics, overseeing sales across Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. His extensive career includes global leadership roles in countries like Yemen, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, and Portugal.

Borg Hedley is expected to leverage his past experiences to introduce innovative sales techniques while maintaining strong customer relations. His ability to adapt to various regional markets positions him as a valuable asset to the leading airline group in Europe.

As head of sales, Borg Hedley will focus on diversifying Lufthansa’s market offerings and enhancing customer experiences. The aim is to achieve greater resilience and adaptability in a post-pandemic world. High emphasis will be placed on creating innovative service packages tailored to customer needs.

The emphasis on team collaboration and development aligns with Lufthansa Group’s values of innovation and excellence. Borg Hedley’s leadership is expected to bolster the team’s morale and drive success across the board.

The focus on strategic expansion, customer centricity, and operational excellence sets a positive trajectory for the future. His appointment is a clear signal of Lufthansa’s dedication to impactful leadership and market adaptation.

Patrick Borg Hedley’s appointment marks a strategic step for the Lufthansa Group.

His leadership aims to solidify the company’s market position in competitive aviation sectors.
