Wizz Air, the Central and Eastern Europe-focused low-cost carrier, has launched a new service to its growing network from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) with flights to the Italian capital of Rome starting this summer.
The new service operates three times weekly, starting July 1, 2021 departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The service sees the return of flights to the Italian capital for the first time in over two years.
Paul Winfield, Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s Director of Aviation Development commented, ‘The region’s travellers have been largely grounded for most of the past 14 months, but we believe that the demand for international travel remains strong, which is why we have continued to work closely with our airline partners to offer passengers from across the region a great choice of destinations to choose from over the coming weeks and months, once international travel restrictions are lifted next week.
‘We are delighted to see Wizz Air continue to develop their business from Liverpool, creating more opportunities for passengers from across the North West and North Wales to travel to a growing number of European destinations direct from Liverpool.’
This is the third new route from Liverpool to be announced recently, and adds to Wizz Air’s growing network by becoming its 13th route from Liverpool airport. More information and tickets are available at Wizz Air’s Liverpool network, at www.wizzair.com.
