easyJet has recently announced that introduction of two new year-round routes from Southampton to Belfast and Glasgow, which will be launched this winter.

The new easyJet flights to Belfast International Airport will launch from October 29, 2023 with departures three times a week on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays, while flights to Glasgow will take off from November 2, 2023 and will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager commented: ‘We’re delighted to announce this new route today from Glasgow to Southampton which will provide customers in Scotland even with greater connectivity across the UK, enabling people to explore more of the fantastic destinations the UK has to offer, reconnect with loved ones and do business.

‘We are proud to be the largest airline in Scotland where we remain committed to strengthening our unrivalled short-haul network and the launch of this new route demonstrates our confidence in the resilient strength of demand for travel in the UK, with customers choosing us for our trusted brand, unrivalled network and great value fares and we can’t wait to welcome more customers on board.’

Matt Hazelwood, Chief Commercial Officer at AGS Airports, which owns Southampton Airport, said: ‘EasyJet’s plans to operate services to our sister airport in Glasgow and Belfast International this winter is fantastic news for our customers in Southampton and the wider Central South region.

‘These additional services will deliver more choice and flexibility for passengers looking to visit Scotland’s largest city and the Northern Irish capital.’
