Norwich Airport is expanding its winter sun options for travellers heading to Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
TUI, which is already a significant operator from Norwich, is increasing its flight frequency to Tenerife from once a week to twice a week starting from Thursday, October 5, and continuing through April next year.
TUI is one of Norwich Airport’s biggest operators by destination with nine routes in total. This latest move provides more flexibility for travellers looking to escape to the Canary Islands during the colder months.
The Canary Islands is an archipelago located in the Atlantic Ocean, off the northwestern coast of Africa. The Islands are known for their stunning natural beauty, diverse landscapes, and pleasant year-round climate, which makes them a popular destination for tourists, especially during the winter months when people from colder regions of Europe seek warmer weather.
Norwich Airport managing director Richard Pace said: ‘The Canaries are hugely popular for winter getaways and the doubling of flights to Tenerife means there is even more choice for passengers from Norwich Airport.’
‘And for those looking for worldwide connections there are more than 270 available from Amsterdam, with daily flights from Norwich up to four times a day with KLM.’
