British Airways is set to relaunch routes connecting London Stansted to sought-after holiday destinations in France, Spain, and Italy in the upcoming summer season.
Commencing on May 18, 2024, the airline will offer weekend flights to three European hotspots: Nice, Florence, and Ibiza. These upcoming routes mark British Airways’ return to scheduled flights from London Stansted, making it the fourth London airport served by the airline.
Ciaran Brannigan, London Stansted’s Commercial Director, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome back British Airways to London Stansted and very much look forward to the launch of their scheduled flights from the airport in May next year.
‘London Stansted serves more European destinations than any other UK airport and these new services to Ibiza, Florence and Nice are strong additions to our route network, which now covers over 190 destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
‘I’m sure these routes will be very popular with passengers from across London, Cambridge and the growing East of England region who are looking to head off on their holidays next summer.
‘We look forward to working closely with British Airways to build a strong working relationship and ensure these new flights are success.’
Operated by British Airways subsidiary BA CityFlyer, the flights will use Embraer 190 aircraft featuring Club Europe and Euro Traveller cabins. Club Europe passengers can enjoy a full meal service, bar drinks, priority boarding, and additional baggage allowances. Flights to Florence will start from £41 each way, Ibiza from £36 each way, and Nice from £43 each way. Bookings can be made on the official British Airways website at ba.com.
The relaunch signifies British Airways’ commitment to meeting the travel demands of passengers, especially those residing in London, Cambridge, and the growing East of England region, providing convenient access to these popular European vacation spots.
