British Airways has announced the launch of direct flights from London Heathrow to Tbilisi, Georgia, starting March 30, 2025.

The new route will operate four times a week, providing UK customers with convenient connections via Heathrow from cities like Edinburgh, Belfast, and Manchester, as well as onward connections to popular US destinations such as New York.

Nestled at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Tbilisi is famed for its rich history, stunning landscapes, and status as the birthplace of wine, with 8,000 years of winemaking tradition. Visitors can explore its historic old town, the scenic banks of the Mtkvari River, and nearby UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways, said: ‘We are thrilled to bring Tbilisi back to our network after over a decade. This route will cater to both leisure travelers and those visiting friends and family, enhancing connectivity between London and Tbilisi.’

The new British Airways flights from London Heathrow to Tbilisi will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing at 21:25 and arriving in Tbilisi at 05:30 the following day. Return flights from Tbilisi to London Heathrow will operate on Wednesdays, departing at 07:10 and arriving at 09:40, as well as on Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays, departing at 07:30 and arriving at 10:00. All times are local.

Return flights to Tbilisi will start from £275, with British Airways Holidays offering two-night packages starting from £369 per person. Passengers can choose between two cabins: Club Europe (business class) and Euro Traveller (economy), with benefits such as complimentary drinks, snacks, and lounge access for business travellers.
