Azamara Cruises has made significant strides in strengthening its executive team with four strategic appointments.

These new leaders are expected to play a critical role in driving business growth, according to Chief Executive Dondra Ritzenthaler.

Meg Lee has taken the helm of Azamara’s marketing and communications strategies, encompassing everything from product promotions to internal communications.

She brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as chief marketing officer at Norwegian Cruise Line, positioning Azamara for innovative brand engagement.

Paulette Haego’s appointment as chief information officer marks a strategic move towards enhancing Azamara’s IT capabilities. Her responsibilities include leading the programme management office.

With over 30 years of experience in the travel industry, Haego’s expertise spans Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages, Disney Cruise Line, and Amadeus, highlighting her extensive knowledge and insight.

Minas Miliaras joins as Azamara’s chief maritime officer, leveraging his background as a naval architect to oversee technical operations.

His previous roles at Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival Maritime underline his strong foundation in maritime operations.

Miliaras is expected to drive maritime innovation, ensuring that Azamara’s fleet operates with maximum efficiency and safety.

Nico Corbijn has been appointed chief administration officer, where he will manage global human resources and legal services.

He brings three years of experience overseeing marine operations, and his leadership will extend to land product development, reinforcing Azamara’s comprehensive service offerings.

The appointments reflect CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler’s vision for the brand’s future, where experienced leadership drives innovation and expansion.

She praised the expertise of the new appointees, emphasizing their integral role in advancing Azamara’s growth strategies.
