European airline Wizz Air has announced the introduction of a fresh route from London Luton Airport to Cairo, Egypt, starting from October 30, 2023.
This new travel option opens up opportunities for UK travellers, connecting them to Sphinx International Airport in Cairo. From there, they can explore the captivating city of Giza, known for its historic significance with landmarks like the Great Pyramid and The Great Sphinx, both dating back to ancient times.
Cairo, a dynamic modern city steeped in history and situated along the iconic Nile River, offers a mix of contemporary living and traditional culture, featuring local music, delectable cuisine, and scenic river tours.

The new flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, catering to a range of schedules, with fares starting from £53.99 for a one-way trip. Travelers can benefit from Wizz Air’s WIZZ Flex feature, which allows them to cancel flights up to three hours before departure without incurring any fees and receive a full fare refund in the form of airline credit.
