The Business Travel Association (BTA) and the Advantage Travel Partnership are set to collaborate on a joint business travel conference next March.

This significant event will consolidate the BTA Spring Conference and the Advantage Business Travel Symposium into a single, influential industry gathering.

The upcoming joint conference between the BTA and Advantage marks a significant milestone in the industry. Announced at the BTA Autumn Conference in Gibraltar, this event will be the first of its kind, combining the expertise and resources of both organisations to deliver a comprehensive experience for attendees.

Scheduled to take place in March 2025 in Wales, this joint conference will feature both a traditional conference format and an expo that will showcase diverse products and services. As stated by Andrea Caulfield-Smith, Advantage’s Global Business Travel Managing Director, the event aims to provide a platform for networking and industry insights.

Both organisations have a history of successful individual events. The BTA’s annual Spring Conference and the Advantage Business Travel Symposium have each provided valuable insights and networking opportunities for delegates. This collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both events.

The BTA and Advantage plan to continue hosting their respective events overseas, ensuring a global reach and impact. Advantage’s conference in Mexico and the upcoming event in Malta highlight their commitment to international engagement.

The BTA’s Travel Management Company (TMC) members account for over 90% of managed travel booked in the UK, while Advantage’s Global Business Travel division boasts an annual turnover of £7.6 billion. This joint effort underscores their influence and capacity to shape the business travel landscape.

The upcoming event in March 2025 will not only mark Caulfield-Smith’s first major conference in her new role but also serve as a benchmark for future industry collaborations.

The BTA’s conference schedule remains robust, with recent events held in Gibraltar showcasing their ongoing dedication to providing industry-leading insights and networking opportunities.

Attendees can expect a comprehensive and enriching experience, fostering connections and providing valuable insights to navigate the evolving business travel landscape. This joint initiative is a promising step towards more collaborative industry events in the future.

The joint conference hosted by the BTA and Advantage in March 2025 represents a new chapter in business travel collaboration.

By leveraging their strengths and expertise, both organisations aim to drive innovation and growth within the sector.
