    Eastern Airways has achieved a significant milestone by securing slots at the prestigious Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. This strategic move heralds improved access for UK travellers.

    Previously operating from Paris Orly, the airline now offers enhanced connectivity to East Midlands and Southampton. The update comes ahead of major global events, promising efficient travel solutions.

    The acquisition of slots at Paris Charles de Gaulle is a notable advancement for Eastern Airways. This transition from Paris Orly is not only a logistical upgrade but also a significant enhancement of the airline’s service offerings. By connecting regional UK airports to one of Europe’s busiest hubs, Eastern Airways consolidates its position in the aviation sector.

    The new service will be conducted using 72-seat ATR turboprop aircraft, highlighting a commitment to efficiency and comfort. Starting fares are competitively set at £89.99, making them an attractive option for both business and leisure travellers.

    Christopher Tibbett, Head of Airline Relations at Southampton Airport, echoed these sentiments, noting the addition enriches Southampton’s summer schedule. His enthusiasm for the enhanced connectivity and service capability reflects broad expectations for increased passenger numbers.

    The cessation of the Cardiff service is a testament to the competitive nature of slot acquisition at major airports. While challenging, such situations compel airlines to focus resources where they promise maximum return and efficiency.

    With the enhanced capacity and location, Eastern Airways is strategically positioned to efficiently serve a broader clientele. This move signifies an opportunity to capture a larger portion of the market, driving further growth and market penetration.

    Roger Hage, Eastern Airways’ Commercial Director, highlighted the importance of this venture saying, “We are delighted with the extended cooperation, which strengthens our service outreach to major European destinations.”
