    Denise Holmes dedicated nearly 20 years to Thomas Cook in Scotland, managing one of their flagship stores before advancing to the regional manager position. Her exceptional leadership and strategic skills paved the way for substantial growth and success during her tenure.

    Holmes played a pivotal role in the Scottish operations of Emirates, where she was instrumental in launching services in Glasgow, Newcastle, and Edinburgh. Her efforts were recognised and respected industry-wide. Later, she continued her exemplary work with Qatar Airways as a key account manager for Scotland, post-pandemic.

    Always seeking new challenges, Holmes founded her own consultancy business, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit and depth of industry knowledge. Her consultancy services were highly valued, further cementing her reputation as a trusted advisor in the travel sector.

    The SPAA’s official statement read: “Denise is perhaps best remembered as a highly-respected and effective senior manager in Scotland on behalf of Emirates and latterly Qatar Airways. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband Andy, daughter Jade, family, friends, and colleagues.”
