The ‘Old World’ is one of the most frequented places by backpackers who are not only looking for history, monuments, sunshine, cultural shows or beautiful landscapes, but also want to party. Europe is indeed a festive continent, and nightlife and festivals are reborn after the harsh Winter. Since summer is coming, we invite you to consider visiting one of these cities if you want to live an unforgettable nightclub partying experience.

    1. LONDON

London nightlife has both substance and variety, so finding the right club for your big night out is not very hard as long as you know what you’re looking for, whether it be drum-n-bass, techno, hip hop, house, or jazz. Every neighbourhood has a slightly different vibe but this should help get you started. You can find anything you want here, from risqué burlesque shows like Cirque Le Soir -which is one of the of the biggest venues in London and won the award “the best London nightclub” 3 years in a row-, to high-end VIP tables in London Clubs like Cuckoo or Mahiki Mayfair Club. Mahiki is known as one of London’s most popular clubs, and it has a very exclusive clientele that includes celebrities such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Drake, among others. It has a Polynesian-inspired interior decor that makes you feel you are actually in a tropical island Paradise perfect to have a cocktail.

    2. MADRID

Madrid’s nightlife never rests. From Monday to Sunday, you can party until the early hours of the morning -it is rather easy to find places open at 5 am on a Wednesday-, and end up eating some churros with chocolate surrounded by taxi drivers who start their working day. There are bars and clubs for all tastes, but the most famous of them all is Kapital Madrid Club. With seven floors, it’s a party-lover’s paradise. Each floor plays a different kind of music, from dance and house to R&B, hip hop and the latest radio hits. Other fancy VIP clubs are Goya Social Club or Bling Bling Madrid, but the trendiest place in town right now is Medias Puri: What looks like a lifetime of haberdashery on the outside, is actually a party club with three dance floors that can accommodate more than 1,000 people on the inside.

    3. BERLIN

With the most intense clubbing scene in Europe (if not the world), Berlin is a must-see city for any international party animal. Electronic music blasts nonstop on the cavernous concrete dance floor of Berlin’s most famous power-plant-turned-club, Berghain-Panorama. They don’t allow phones into the club – which makes the experience all the more special – and the club has an strict door policy. The sound is amazing in there and there’s always a very patient mixed crowd who go all night. Another option is OHM, which is fast becoming one of Berlin’s most worthy off-grid spaces. With its minimal white-tiled decor and powerful sound system, the experimental part-gallery-part-nightclub makes impressive use of its modest space. And all with admission and bar prices you’d forgotten once existed.

    4. AMSTERDAM

Amsterdam is one of young travelers’ favorite places to visit in Europe and it maintains a bold nightlife. On the weekends, bars stay open until 3 a.m., and dance clubs won’t shut down until 4 a.m. The night cafés stay open even later, so the party is always long and young. You can find rock out to techno, house and EDM music in clubs like De School, built inside a former school –hence the name. De School fosters a great mix between promoting local djs and inviting international ones from time to time. AIR is another famous nightclub, which hosts theAmsterdam Dance Event. Thousands of people flock to the city for this every year and Air sells out every night while it’s on. It has a perfect location and boasts a Void sound system that hits you nicely from all corners of the dancefloor. Each of its three room feels like you are walking into a different club.

    5. IBIZA

This iconic Spanish island is the clubbing capital of the world, attracting stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Justin Bieber, Leonardo DiCaprio or Paris Hilton. In Ibiza if you can watch the sunset from a restaurant terrace and then party like a rock star. Legendary clubs throw nightly raves that drag well into the morning. The most famous nightclubs are Amnesia, which offers live shows and several areas that you won’t forget; Pacha, which was founded by the hippie movement in the early 70s but has managed to evolve and become a reference in electronic music; and Privilege, the master of unprecedented staging. Their productions are incomparable and do not leave anyone indifferent, combining dancers, music and first class decorations.
