Marking a significant milestone, the A-Rosa Sena celebrates its first year of operations, elevating river cruising experiences.

Since its launch, this innovative vessel has consistently set new standards in sustainability and family-friendly travel on the Rhine.

The A-Rosa Sena stands out with its hybrid propulsion system that allows for up to 45 minutes of battery-powered, emission-free sailing when entering and leaving ports. This technology underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability, marking a significant stride towards reducing the environmental impact of river cruises.

Catering to family travel, the ship boasts cabins accommodating up to five guests, a vibrant kids’ club, and a child-exclusive pool on the sundeck.

In its first year, over 650 children have enjoyed the unique offerings on board, with numbers expected to grow as school holidays approach.

The Sena offers an exciting itinerary featuring key destinations like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Dordrecht.

Themed cruises, including festive sailings in March and November, provide guests with unique experiences tailored to specific interests. The focus on thematic travel enhances the cultural and recreational appeal of the cruise.

Lucia Rowe, A-Rosa UK and Ireland MD, highlighted the ship’s success by stating that it sets the standard for future river cruise vessels. She emphasised the unmatched sustainability credentials and diverse facilities the Sena offers.

Guests of all ages praised the distinct and innovative features of the A-Rosa Sena, which include amenities never before seen on river cruise ships.

Looking ahead, A-Rosa River Cruises plans to expand its innovative initiatives, aiming to introduce more eco-friendly vessels in upcoming years.

Reflecting on its inaugural year, the A-Rosa Sena has not only achieved remarkable milestones in sustainability but also redefined family-friendly cruising on European rivers.
