Oceania Cruises has announced a strategic initiative aimed at expanding its network of travel agents in the UK. These efforts are underscored by a training program and a Mediterranean cruise incentive.

Oceania Cruises is introducing an array of new training videos to broaden its trade remit and educate agents about its extensive product range. ‘We are delighted to announce this new training platform for our valued trade partners,’ remarked Jason Worth, vice president of international sales for Oceania, underscoring its importance to reaching new travel professionals.

A Mediterranean cruise is up for grabs for travel agents who complete the entire video series by 31 December 2024. This incentive includes participation in a draw for a seven-day cruise scheduled for 2025. Each video, lasting 15 minutes, offers detailed insights into Oceania’s service and offerings.

The video series covers various aspects, such as the brand’s core philosophies and a comprehensive fleet overview. Additionally, it highlights Oceania’s Finest Cuisine at Sea, emphasizing the luxury dining experiences available on board.

The training emphasizes Oceania’s strengths, such as its small, luxurious fleet accommodating up to 1,250 guests.

Oceania’s itineraries span 600 destinations across more than 100 countries, demonstrating its extensive reach and diverse offerings.

The cruises promise destination-rich itineraries, providing travellers with immersive experiences in each port of call. This aligns with Oceania’s commitment to unique and engaging travel experiences.

The first video, titled ‘Brand Introduction’, delves into Oceania’s brand pillars and the simply MORE value offer, while the second video introduces ‘The Finest Cuisine at Sea’, which covers onboard dining options.

Further video content explores curated travel experiences, shedding light on destinations and the small-group immersive shore excursions offered by the line.

The videos are hosted on a virtual event platform, ON24, allowing flexible, on-demand access for travel agents, ensuring learning can be integrated seamlessly into their schedules.

These resources also include downloadable content, designed to bolster knowledge and brand awareness within the trade community.

Oceania Cruises plans to expand its fleet with two new ships expected by 2027 or possibly later, enhancing its global presence.

These developments reflect Oceania’s commitment to innovation and growth, reinforcing its status in the luxury cruise market.

The video series, curated by Oceania’s sales team, acts as a catalyst for increasing agent knowledge and reinforcing brand loyalty among travel professionals.

Overall, Oceania Cruises’ new training initiative exemplifies its strategic focus on agent engagement and brand growth. This innovative approach not only enhances the knowledge base of its agents but also aligns with Oceania’s broader goals for market expansion and guest experience. The inclusion of a Mediterranean cruise incentive further underscores the value Oceania places on its partnership with agents.
