Pandaw is set to revolutionise the river cruising experience by introducing a new vessel to navigate the picturesque Kerala Backwaters by 2025.

This expansion is a testament to the growing fascination with India’s rich heritage and scenic beauty, propelling the region into the spotlight as a key player in the cruise industry.

Pandaw’s decision to extend its offerings in India underscores the rising popularity of the Kerala Backwaters as a premium river cruise destination. The tranquil landscapes, combined with the region’s rich cultural tapestry, present a unique offering for travellers seeking an exotic experience. The serene canals of Alappuzha, often referred to as the ‘Venice of the East’, form part of this compelling itinerary, captivating tourists with their tranquil beauty.

Set to launch in October 2025, the Kochi Pandaw will be Pandaw’s fourth ship in India, intricately designed to navigate the enchanting lagoons and canals of Kerala. The vessel promises seven-night round-trip journeys from Kochi, offering passengers an immersive experience through both bustling towns and secluded regions along the 900km waterway. Each voyage promises not just luxurious comfort but also deep cultural immersion.

Moreover, every cruise is accompanied by a suite of luxurious services and activities, including a complimentary drinks package and excursions, ensuring guests enjoy both relaxation and exploration. This holistic approach enhances the overall travel experience, combining leisure with learning.

Weekly departures are scheduled during the peak months of September, October, and November 2025, as well as January, February, and March 2026. These timeframes are strategically selected to coincide with optimal weather conditions, thus ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable exploration of Kerala’s waterways.
