Advantage Travel Partnership, a leading name in the travel industry, has celebrated unprecedented success in its cruise sector this year. With a remarkable 16% increase in year-to-date cruise revenue, the partnership has achieved what it describes as its ‘best year ever’ for cruises.

This impressive growth places the cruise division ahead of the broader business performance, marking a significant achievement in a competitive market. The Advantage Travel Partnership’s commitment to innovative strategies and a focus on cruise development have been central to this success, setting a benchmark for future growth.

The Advantage Travel Partnership has posted a remarkable 16% growth in cruise revenue year-to-date, making it the strongest year in its history for this sector. Senior cruise manager Jonny Peat shared these figures at the Latitude cruise conference, highlighting the ambitious targets set and surpassed. The cruise business now generates over £0.65 billion annually, underscoring its pivotal role in the overall commercial strategy.

Notably, river and expedition cruises have seen exceptional growth, with revenue surging by 110% and 77% respectively. Ocean and luxury cruises also performed well, achieving growth rates of 12% and 30%, reflecting a diversified and successful product offering.

A key highlight is the rise in bookings from younger customers drawn to unique destinations like Antarctica and the Galapagos, with luxury cruises especially sought after. Ship visits also more than doubled, evidencing strong engagement with the cruise product.

Future plans include expanded training events across key locations such as Glasgow, Belfast, London, and Manchester. These events will be segmented by cruise type, including river and luxury, ensuring members receive targeted support.

With a strategic vision to enhance its cruise offerings and member engagement, Advantage Travel Partnership is set to build on this year’s incredible success. The continued focus on innovation and strategic partnerships will be crucial in sustaining growth.

The Latitude conference witnessed remarkable engagement with 170 attendees, including 120 agents, sailing from London Tilbury to Amsterdam. This high level of participation highlights the strong interest and commitment within the community to advance in the cruise sector.

As Advantage Travel Partnership reflects on a record-breaking year for its cruise division, the focus on strategic growth and member inclusivity underscores its success.

Looking ahead, the partnership is poised to continue its trajectory of excellence, driven by innovation, member engagement, and a robust strategy for expanding its footprint in the cruise industry.
