CityJet, an Ireland-based airline, is offering its own music channel to its passengers, in collaboration with MBM Records.

The OnAir music channel is offering a mix of tracks from modern European and US indie and pop artists, such as Bag Raiders, Jens Lekman, Bon Iver, Future Islands, and Arsenal. Visitors to its website, www.cityjet.com/music, and Facebook page can also listen to the music channel. In addition the airline is offering a new CityJet play list that will be played on all flights while passengers are boarding and disembarking.

The new CityJet music and media page has been designed to provide the airline’s passengers with the latest trends in contemporary music, as well as music and entertainment news, such as album launches, collaborations, and concert and venue information from across the world. The initial play list will include eleven tracks that will be updated frequently to keep its content fresh and current.

Christine Ourmieres, the airline chief executive officer for CityJet, said, ‘We know music is a keen interest for many of our customers and by working with MBM Records to create this unique playlist our OnAir channel is putting our customers in touch with the latest in contemporary indie and pop music.

OnAir is another strand we’ve developed to ensure that we continue to provide a quality, personal service at every touch point with our customers.’

To celebrate the launch of the music channel, the airline is offering a limited number of CDs to passengers who take part in competitions on its social media platforms.
