easyJet has announced the launch of its new seasonal service between Birmingham and Palma, providing customers in the Midlands direct connectivity to one of Europe’s most popular beach destinations.

Flights from Birmingham Airport took off on April 1 for the first time and are now operating up to five times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays between March 29 and October 28, 2022.

One of the most popular of the Balearic Islands, Majorca is one of the top holiday destinations in Spain. With more than 200 beaches and a long coastline, Majorca is a beach lover’s paradise with its romantic coves, vast sweeping bays, and stretches of beautiful sandy shores. Seats are on sale at easyJet.com and via the mobile app with fares starting from £22.99 per person.

The flight to Palma is the first of three seasonal summer easyJet routes from Birmingham launching this summer, with flights to Faro, Portugal and Malaga, Spain both taking off for the first time on May 1, 2022.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: ‘We are delighted to have launched our first flight from Birmingham to Palma today. This route further strengthens our network from Birmingham, offering more connections to a greater range of destinations for our customers in the Midlands.

‘We remain committed to offering customers great value fares and more choice when they fly with us, and we can’t wait to welcome more customers onboard.’

Tom Screen, Aviation Director of Birmingham Airport said: ‘It is great welcome another easyJet route launch from Birmingham Airport. This popular sunshine route adds more capacity to Palma, direct from the Airport. Customers can book easily with the knowledge of competitive fares and great customer service. We look forward to working with easyJet to develop its route network from Birmingham.’
