Brittany Ferries Holidays has announced a promotion on self-catering holidays to France and Spain this summer.

According to a release by the freight service company, more than 110 French cottages and 30 Spanish casas are on offer, with discounts of up to 25 percent on the company’s ferry-inclusive prices. Discounts are available throughout the summer season, including the school holidays, and until the end of 2016.

‘We are offering all sorts of accommodation, from rural retreats and coastal resorts to properties in villages and town centres,’ said Christiane Barker, general manager Brittany Ferries Holidays. ‘Clients can choose between France or Spain and our ferry-inclusive pricing makes this excellent value for money, particularly for families. You can secure your holiday now with a deposit of just £40 per person. The balance is payable just six weeks before departure.’

Gite and French cottage locations are offered in Brittany, Normandy, Poitou Charentes, the Loire and beyond. In addition, Spanish casas are available for holidaymakers looking for a taste of real Spain. Spanish properties are located in the region of Asturias with its beaches, fishing ports and mountain scenery. Also on offer is Cantabria, a region in the seaside town of Santander with attractive inland villages such as Santillana del Mar.

Holidaymakers looking for a break this summer can take a crossing on Brittany Ferries’ premium cruise ferries, with departures from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth. They can go for a crossing to arrive at one of five destinations in France, or choose an overnight sailing through the Bay of Biscay, which carries passengers to either Bilbao or Santander.

Set up by a collective of French farmers as a freight-only operator, running from Roscoff in Brittany to Plymouth, Brittany Ferries is a passenger car and freight service operating from eleven ports, linking four countries: UK – France, UK – Spain and Ireland – France. Originally established to transport French agricultural products to a wider British market, the service soon developed into an operation carrying British tourists.

Today Brittany Ferries is a market leader on the Western Channel for passengers and for freight. It is also a leading supplier of ferry-inclusive motoring holidays to France and Spain.
