Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, the leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator, have launched their first flight from Bristol Airport to Malaga, Spain.

This inaugural flight on July 20, 2023 marks the start of up to four weekly services (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) to Malaga from Bristol Airport, running until November 19. Customers can also book packages through Jet2CityBreaks for the historic city of Malaga.

Malaga, located on the south coast of Spain, offers a vibrant atmosphere with impressive castles and gardens overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Visitors can enjoy a city break during both summer and winter, as Malaga also offers contemporary art, cultural seafood dining, shopping promenades, and lively fiestas.

Additionally, the companies are expanding their offerings from Bristol Airport further, with the first flight to Crete (Chania) scheduled for July 24, 2023. This route will operate with weekly Monday services until October 30.

For those seeking picturesque harbours, emerald-green gorges, and sparkling lakes, Chania in Crete is an ideal destination. The western side of the Greek island of Crete features numerous Blue Flag beaches, perfect for sun-soaked relaxation. Strolling through the well-preserved historical monuments of the Old Town, visitors will encounter stunning Venetian mansions, fountains, and churches.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ‘We are delighted to be waving off our first flight to Malaga from Bristol Airport today and look forward to seeing our inaugural flight to Chania take off from the base next week too. The addition of these stunning holiday destinations to our Summer 23 programme from Bristol Airport has proven to be extremely popular with customers and independent travel agents looking for glorious sunshine alongside that authentic cultural experience.’
