For this year’s winter holiday, British travellers are searching for warmer destinations, according to UK based online travel company, dealchecker.co.uk.

Some of the favourite destinations for British holidaymakers this winter season are Cuba, Egypt and India.

In the winter months, Cuba offers a warm climate, with a temperature of around 26 degrees centigrade, and has a large number of beach destinations. The capital city of Havana hosts the Havana Jazz Festival in December and the Cabildos Festival in January every year, providing international tourists with a flavour of the historical township. Holidays to Cuba are on offer from £759 per person upwards.

At Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, temperatures reach 22-degree centigrade in January, with a dry climate. Egypt is the perfect destination for foreign travellers to immerse in history and charming local markets. British tourists can book Egyptian holidays, including a seven-night full board Nile Cruise, for prices commencing from £329 per person.

With the pristine beaches of Goa, and the beautiful backwater of Kerala, India beckons British travellers this coming winter. With a winter temperature in the thirties, the country’s balmier destinations are ideal for taking a tropical break. The flea markets of Goa and the spice markets of Kerala are must-see attractions and an exotic shopping experience. February is also ideal for those who wish to experience the Goa Carnival. This year, dealchecker.co.uk is reporting an almost 26 percent increase in demand for Indian destinations from British travellers, and holidays with flights commence from £394 per person.

Mark Attwell, the managing director of dealchecker.co.uk, said, ‘After suffering through the wettest summer and September on record, we’ve seen a strong up-tick in interest in winter sun holidays. November to March is the best time of year to visit tropical destinations since the heat is comfortable but not stifling, and off-season is a great time to find deals on flights and holidays. We recommend that travellers book early to make sure the best deals are still available.’
