Haven Holidays Benefits from Early Booking Offers

Haven Holidays, a UK-based holiday park operator, is reaping the benefit of offering discounts for advance bookings.

The company has reported that there has been a 12 percent increase to date in repeat bookings from guests who have previously stayed at its campsites in the UK, compared with those bookings taken by the same time last year, due mainly to customers taking advantage of early booking rates. On average, these customers paid around £130 per week less than those who book similar accommodation with the company at the last minute.

The caravan park owner is offering Spring breaks in Somerset for rates commencing at £100, Easter breaks in Norfolk for less than £200, June breaks in Dorset for less than £200, and summer holidays in North Wales for less than £500.

A company spokesperson said, ‘We have a high proportion of repeat customers every year but what has surprised even us is the increase in the number of customers who experienced Haven for the very first time last year.

Every year we work hard to improve the guest experience and invest over £40 million on new leisure facilities, new restaurants and new accommodation and 2013 is no different. Perran Sands in Cornwall, Rockley Park in Dorset, Golden Sands in Lincolnshire, Craig Tara in Ayr are just some of the parks that will have some great new upgrades this year.’

Haven Holidays has announced an investment of £40 million in 2013, to complete an extensive development of its 35 parks in order to enhance its customer experience.

The company is also one of the first in the UK to offer glamour camping options. The glamour camping holidays include ready-pitched tents at holidays parks, where guests can take their pick of options and amenities, from traditional looking but very large three-bedroom tents, to lavish-themed safari tents such as Mongolian styled yurts and ultramodern Geodomes.
