Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, the UK-based leisure airline and package holiday specialist, is adding more flights and holidays to Zante, Crete (Heraklion), Rhodes and Kefalonia from Birmingham Airport, extending the Summer 2021 season.

The addition of new flights, which will operate until October and November, and the expanded range of 2-5 star hotels, will offer customers more choice of holidays in the late summer period.

Jet2holidays has announced a wider selection of hotels and resorts on sale in Zante, with extra flights from Birmingham until the end of October for the first time. The holiday company is also extending the summer season in Rhodes to mid-November; in Crete (Heraklion) until November 8 and the holiday season in Kefalonia until mid-October.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: ‘There continues to be enormous pent-up demand from local holidaymakers, who want nothing more than to get away to the sunshine and enjoy their well-deserved holidays. As always, we listen to what customers want and react accordingly, so that we can provide them with the holiday choices that they want. Extending the summer season to Greece means we are doing exactly that; giving customers more opportunity to get away and enjoy a much-needed holiday. As a result of the assurance that customers get from our award-winning flights and ATOL protected package holidays, we will be continuing to respond to the demand so that when travel opens up, we can take customers from Birmingham Airport to their favourite holiday hotspots.’

Tom Screen, Aviation Director of Birmingham Airport said: ‘We know that a lot of our customers are desperate to book their holiday for this year. After dealing with 2020 and the uncertainty that it brought around booking holidays, we find ourselves in a similar situation again. However, as always, forward thinking Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are giving customers a prolonged holiday window with flights extended to the Greek Islands into October and November, ensuring that customers can find a getaway that can include the October half term holidays too. With flight and hotel availability being extended, the trusted reputation of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays and the assurance of an ATOL protected holiday, all of this really does give customers the reassurance to book.’

Jet2holidays is responding to demand for the assurance that its ATOL protected package holidays provide – particularly customers will be refunded quickly if their holiday is affected by travel restrictions, Birmingham Airport said in a release.
