Jet2.com, the UK-based flight and holiday company, has announced its scheduled services to Iceland from Birmingham Airport for Winter 21/22, with flights now on sale.

Jet2 will operate twice-weekly services on a Monday and Thursday to Keflavik International Airport near Reykjavik from Birmingham Airport, ideally scheduled for a sighting of the Northern lights. The services will operate from September 30 to November 22, 2021, and February 10 to April 25, 2022.

With flight-only deals starting from £64 per person one way and package holiday options with Jet2CityBreaks starting from £419 per person, customers in the region can select from stays of three-nights or more, offering more choice and flexibility.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ‘We are delighted to be putting our Iceland programme on sale from Birmingham Airport for Winter 21/22, and to be offering customers fantastic choice and flexibility when it comes to experiencing this breathtaking Northern country.

‘Iceland is a destination that is rapidly growing in popularity thanks to its huge variety of choice for travellers. Whether it is geothermal spas, geysers, natural parks, the incredible Aurora Borealis or the world’s northernmost capital Reykjavik, this small North Atlantic island is truly unique. The beauty of Iceland, coupled with Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks’ award-winning benefits, means we are confident that these scheduled flights will yet again be very popular with customers in the region. We’re not done yet, with even more exciting news for Winter 21/22 coming on sale soon!’

Tom Screen, Aviation Director of Birmingham Airport said: ‘It is great news that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has added Iceland to their portfolio of routes direct from Birmingham Airport for Winter 21/22. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays really does think about its customers and looks to serve routes where demand is needed. Iceland, which is currently unserved from Birmingham Airport, is a popular city break destination and has so much to offer travellers. This additional destination means that there are 32 holiday destinations on offer from Jet2.com and Jet2holidays for Winter 21/22.’
