Jet2holidays relaunches ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign

Jet2holidays has announced the return of its popular ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign this September, promising an even larger experience.

The campaign, which gained popularity in 2021, offers holiday-seekers the chance to bid for vacations at low prices. The upcoming relaunch will feature an extended format, with a new holiday up for auction every weekday and weekend throughout the month.

The campaign will relaunch on September 1, introducing 30 holiday opportunities in total. Unlike the previous setup that offered one weekly chance, this revamped version will provide more opportunities for participants to successfully bid on their dream vacations. The bidding process opens daily at one minute past midnight from Monday to Friday, closing at midnight on the same day. For weekends, auctions will remain open for an extended 48 hours, concluding on Sunday night.

To participate in the bidding, interested individuals can download the Jet2 mobile app and place their bids in pence. If their bid stands as the lowest unique amount, they secure the holiday for the same price as their bid.

The previous run of the campaign witnessed significant engagement, with over 60 successful bidders securing holidays to various destinations such as the Canary Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, the Algarve, and Turkey.

The first vacation up for bidding will be a seven-night stay for two adults and two children at the Aska Lara Resort & Spa in Antalya. Subsequent holidays will span across diverse destinations like the Costa Blanca, Crete (Chania), Prague, Majorca, and the Algarve.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ‘Since its launch, our ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign has been extremely popular with holidaymakers, so we are delighted to announce that it is returning every weekday and weekend throughout September, with 30 holidays up for grabs. The campaign is highly sought-after, and customers will be excited for its bumper return. For this reason, we have absolute confidence it will prove to be a big hit once again. We know how much holidaymakers want to get away from the UK and enjoy a well-deserved break, and with some fantastic holidays available to bid on daily, we are offering them the chance to do just that for as little as a few pence. We wish everyone the best of luck and look forward to welcoming the successful bidders on holiday.’

Additionally, participants with a myJet2 account will have the chance to bid on a luxurious five-star Indulgent Escape every week. This aspect offers opportunities for premium experiences at top-tier hotels.

The relaunch aligns with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ recent announcement regarding the enhanced myJet2 platform, which enables customers to manage their travel bookings and obtain exclusive offers and rewards through a unified customer account accessible across devices.
