easyJet adds new summer routes to Catania and Antalya from Edinburgh

easyJet, the UK-based regional airline, has announced the launch of two new routes from Edinburgh Airport – to Catania in Italy, and to Antalya in Turkey – for summer 2023.

The new Catania service will operate up to twice a week on Mondays and Fridays throughout the summer, while services to Antalya will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Both routes will provide customers in Scotland with more choice when planning their summer getaway.

The new routes also allow holidaymakers from Edinburgh to explore Catania or Antalya with easyJet holidays. Seats are available to book with fares from £31.99 for this summer.

easyJet has also introduced an additional aircraft to its base at Edinburgh Airport, to serve demand. With the arrival of the new 186-seat Airbus A320, easyJet will now base nine A320 aircraft at Edinburgh Airport.

Jet2 adds capacity to Dalaman, Antalya and Paphos for Winter 23/24

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have expanded their Winter 23/24 schedule, adding extra capacity to Turkey (Dalaman and Antalya) and Cyprus (Paphos).

The expansion represents an extra 32,000 seats going on sale, offering customers and independent travel agents more than 4.3 million seats on sale in total for Winter 23/24.

To Turkey, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have added capacity to Dalaman with additional November flights from all ten UK bases (Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and London Stansted). Over 15,000 additional seats have gone on sale to Dalaman as Jet2 extended the season for next winter.

In addition, Jet2 has responded to strong demand for winter sun holidays to Antalya in November, adding over 6,000 seats from across nine UK bases (Belfast International, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and London Stansted).

Further over 10,500 seats have gone on sale to Paphos with extra flights departing during December and over the New Year from Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Edinburgh and London Stansted.

SunExpress announces new service from Newcastle International Airport to Antalya

Leisure airline SunExpress has announced a new service from Newcastle International Airport to the Turkish sunshine resort of Antalya for summer 2023.

The new service, which will operate thrice weekly, will depart Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from March 28 through to October 28, 2023. SunExpress, which is jointly owned by Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, joins three other airlines serving Antalya from Newcastle in 2023, providing passengers with increased choice for holidays to the popular Turkish holiday hotspot.

Corendon Airlines announces flights from Birmingham to Turkish sunspots

Corendon Airlines, the European leisure carrier, has announced the launch of its flight from Birmingham Airport to Turkey offering sunseekers much needed holiday choices for summer.

The airline, which is based at Antalya Airport, will now operate flights twice a week to Dalaman and three times a week to Antalya. The connections are operated using the airline’s fleet of 189-seat B737-800 aircraft.

Antalya is located in the west of the Mediterranean, known as ‘The Turkish Riviera’ offering a rich blend of archaeological and natural beauty. Situated on the Turquoise Coast, the Dalaman area of Turkey is an amazingly diverse holiday destination, with a range of stunning seascapes, lively bars, historical spots, and seaside restaurants.

Paul Riches, Commercial representative of Corendon Airlines, said: ‘We are very excited to launch our service from Birmingham Airport. We plan to increase our Birmingham flights to many other popular holiday destinations in the following seasons. Birmingham Airport announces new services to Turkey, Jersey

Birmingham Airport has said that AnadoluJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, will launch a new service to the popular leisure destinations of Antalya and Dalaman in Turkey from the Airport, starting July 19, 2021.

Commenting on the service, Tom Screen, Birmingham Airport’s Aviation Director, said: ‘As we prepare to welcome customers back flying again, we are extremely pleased that AnadoluJet will be offering new services to Antalya and Dalaman from the 19th July 2021. Working with its parent company, Turkish Airlines, over many years of flying to Istanbul from Birmingham, I know that customers will receive outstanding service, affordability and reliability with AnadoluJet.’

The flights will arrive into Birmingham daily at 1140 hours and depart at 1240 hours, using a 189 seat Boeing 737-800 jet. Bookings can be made via www.thy.com or www.anadolujet.com or through local travel agents.

Separately, the UK Airport said that Blue Islands will operate flights to Jersey starting from April 26 following the Government of Jersey’s announcement concerning the relaxation of travel restrictions for UK visitors.

Jet2 expands services to Antalya for UK holidaymakers and golfers

The UK travel and holiday company Jet2.com has said that it has added more flights and holidays to Antalya in March 2022, following increased demand from holidaymakers, as well as golfers looking for the best courses in the Turkish sunshine.

With the addition, customers travelling from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle Airports will have more choice and flexibility when looking to book a holiday or golf break to Antalya.

Besides the beautiful holiday resorts, Turkey’s Antalya region is an emerging location in the golfing world, with 14 top-class courses in the upmarket resort of Belek. The region has in recent years hosted some of the world’s best players to prominent European tour events as well as the Turkish Open. easyJet announces new route from Bristol to Antalya next summer

easyJet, the UK-based European regional airline, has said that it will launch a new route from Bristol to Antalya in Turkey for summer.

The new flights will operate three times a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays throughout the summer, providing travellers from the South West with a direct route to the Turkish resort, alongside routes already operated to Dalaman and Bodrum.

Situated on the Turquoise Coast, the port city of Antalya presents several historic attractions and is known for its stunning blue waters.

Flights will take off from May 3, 2020, and the new service is expected to carry over 23,000 customers during its first season. Seats are now on sale at www.easyjet.com, with fares from £28.99.

Antalya is the seventh new destination easyJet has added to its Bristol network in 2019. In October the airline launched a new route from Bristol to Hurghada in Egypt and earlier this year to Montpellier and Biarritz in France, Milan and Brindisi in Italy and Rhodes in the Greek Islands.

British Airways launches direct flights to Antalya for summer 2020

British Airways has announced the launch of flights between London Gatwick and Antalya, Turkey.

The summer route, which will operate on an Airbus A320 and run six times a week, will commence services on April 30, 2020, and is available to book from today.

A launch offer means flights start from £139 return in Euro Traveller or £387 return in Club Europe. Customers can also choose to cut the cost of their ticket through Avios part payment – they could pay £79 plus 10,800 Avios in Euro Traveller and £207 plus 35,100 Avios in Club Europe as part of the introductory offer.

Until October 29, customers can secure any British Airways Holiday booking with a deposit of £25 per person based on two travellers, so minimum £50 deposit per booking as against £150 charged normally.

Adam Carson, British Airways’ Managing Director of Gatwick, said: ‘Holiday makers can look forward to another option when flying to Turkey with British Airways next summer. After months in the planning, we are excited to announce the addition of Antalya to our network from Gatwick. The Antalya announcement comes as the airline adjusts its Gatwick schedule for Summer 2020. The new route to Turkey complement a summer Gatwick service to Dalaman and year-round flights between Istanbul and Heathrow.

British Airways flies to more than 70 destinations from Gatwick, offering a variety of routes to suit both business and leisure travellers. The airline is investing £6.5 billion to improve its customer experience over five years, including new aircraft, new cabins, new catering, new lounges and WiFi.
