The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) reports a notable increase in revenues for agents and suppliers this year. This marks a year of significant growth in bookings and overall member engagement within the industry.

Revenues have witnessed a steady upward trend, reflecting a positive shift for agents and suppliers in 2024. The association has expanded its membership base, highlighting increased interest and participation from new and existing members.

Throughout 2024, Atas has observed a consistent growth in bookings and revenue, underscoring a dynamic year for the organisation and its stakeholders. From January to August, the number of bookings rose by 8% year on year, with agents experiencing a 9% increase. Total revenues for Atas grew by 10%, showcasing the robust health of the sector in generating economic gains.

A major focus has been on enhancing the digital landscape with the launch of a new user-friendly Atas website. This platform aims to provide comprehensive information and resources to members, taking the association to the next level.

Such innovative approaches are crucial in keeping member agents at the forefront of industry developments. The emphasis on training and advisory reflects Atas’s commitment to fostering a knowledgeable and proactive community.

Demographic analysis reveals a surprising rise in the 20-somethings sector, marking a 22% growth. In contrast, those in their 30s and 40s are seeing marginal declines, likely due to economic pressures, while the 60-69 age group remains the strongest in terms of growth.

Sustainability remains a pivotal focus, with touring and adventure uniquely positioned to channel funds into local economies and promote lesser-known destinations. This not only combats overtourism but also aligns with broader sustainability goals.

Atas’s sustainability hub provides crucial resources for agents to craft travel packages that are both economically beneficial and environmentally responsible. The focus is on developing tourism that leaves a lasting, positive impact.

Collaboration is key in tackling the challenges facing the travel industry. Atas plays a crucial role, acting as a hub for discussion and strategic action. By leveraging collective insights, the association supports sustainable growth and innovation within the touring and adventure segment.

Atas’s strategic initiatives and focus on sustainable growth demonstrate its pivotal role in the touring and adventure sector. With increasing revenues, expanding membership, and innovative training, the association is well-positioned to guide its members towards future success.
