In an exciting development for Nile river cruising, A&K is set to expand its fleet with a new bespoke riverboat.

    • Construction of a 32-cabin vessel has commenced at an Egyptian shipyard, with a launch anticipated in late 2025.
    • This addition will bring Abercrombie & Kent’s prestigious Nile fleet to five vessels, offering luxurious experiences.
    • The new riverboat will be available for private charters, with its name yet to be announced.
    • Abercrombie & Kent’s historical connection to the Nile dates back to 1977, showcasing a longstanding commitment.

Construction has started on a new 32-cabin riverboat by A&K, slated for completion in autumn 2025 at an Egyptian shipyard. The vessel’s launch aims to enrich the Nile cruising experience by late 2025, reflecting A&K’s ongoing commitment to luxury and exploration.

The introduction of this vessel will expand A&K’s Nile fleet to five, including renowned vessels like the Nile Adventurer, Sun Boat III, Sun Boat IV, and Zein Nile Chateau. Each of these ships is celebrated for its unique and opulent offerings, setting a high standard in river cruising.

The new riverboat will not only contribute to the fleet’s expansion but will also offer private charter services, further enhancing personalised travel experiences on the Nile. Details about the vessel’s name are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

Abercrombie & Kent has maintained a significant presence on the Nile since 1977, when founder Geoffrey Kent launched the company’s first Nile river cruise, inspired by meeting David Niven during the filming of ‘Death on the Nile’. This historical tie underscores A&K’s enduring influence and dedication to Egyptian river voyages.
