Swan Hellenic, a renowned name in cultural expedition cruising, has announced a significant expansion of its small ship itineraries for 2025, broadening its reach from the Amazon to new Mediterranean routes. The expedition line’s offerings now span diverse regions including Brazil, the Bijagós Archipelago off Guinea-Bissau, Norway, Canada, and from Argentina to South Africa, as well as Madagascar to Italy, covering even the Arctic and Antarctic zones.
Among the notable additions is the 19-night cruise from Barbados to Brazil, scheduled for departure on October 12 next year. This journey aboard the 152-passenger SH Vega will traverse the South American coast to Salvador de Bahia, featuring an exceptional four-day exploration up the Amazon River. Such an itinerary is designed to deliver an immersive cultural experience while sailing through some of the world’s most intriguing environments.
For those interested in European history and culture, the newly introduced Mediterranean cruises promise unique explorations of ancient and medieval sites, several of which are recognised as Unesco World Heritage sites. The 192-passenger SH Diana is slated to navigate a ten-night route commencing on August 20, covering the coastal splendours from Palermo to Venice. This journey includes access to the Sicilian, Montenegrin, and Croatian coasts, offering an intimate look at these culturally rich areas.
Swan Hellenic’s Chief Commercial Officer, Patrizia Iantorno, shared her enthusiasm for the new itineraries, stating, “We’re delighted with the itineraries our specialists have curated for 2025.” These itineraries not only build upon the successes of the line’s 2023 and 2024 cultural expeditions but also introduce fresh opportunities for exploration. The strategic expansion seeks to appeal to intellectually curious travellers eager to broaden their cultural understanding and experience novel destinations.
Swan Hellenic’s 2025 itineraries are set to offer enriching voyages that blend cultural discovery with adventure.
