The dynamic evolution of Accor in 2024 is shaped by significant global events, propelling its growth during a complex geopolitical era.

    • Accor posted record-breaking financial outcomes in 2023, attributed to solid demand across all regions and segments.
    • The group’s robust performance led to a return of €676 million to shareholders, reinforcing confidence in continued growth.
    • Accor expanded its portfolio significantly, adding 291 hotels, and foresees further expansion with a pipeline of 225,000 rooms.
    • CEO Sebastien Bazin emphasises the strength of Accor’s asset-light model and the commitment of its teams amid geopolitical complexities.

Accor demonstrated an impressive financial achievement in 2023, registering a historic €1 billion in EBITDA due to unwavering demand in the hospitality sector. The group, renowned for its expansive hotel network, capitalised on the post-pandemic recovery to post these record-breaking results, reflecting strong growth across all operational regions.

Accor’s financial prosperity in 2023 enabled it to distribute a substantial €676 million back to its shareholders. This strategic financial move underscores the corporation’s confidence in its ongoing expansion and resilience against geopolitical challenges.

In line with its growth strategy, Accor expanded its portfolio by opening 291 hotels last year. These expansions added 41,000 rooms to its already vast network, bringing the total to 5,584 hotels and 821,518 rooms worldwide, with ambitious plans for further growth involving an additional 225,000 rooms under development.

Chief executive Sebastien Bazin highlighted the importance of Accor’s asset-light model, which drives efficiency and broadens the appeal of its brands across various market segments, including premium, midscale, economy, luxury, and lifestyle. Bazin acknowledged the exemplary dedication of Accor’s teams, stating: ‘The strength of our organisation lies in our passionate and committed teams who elevate our brands’ profiles with exceptional hospitality.’
