Significant leadership change at Enable Holidays as Lynne Kirby steps down, replaced by Ben Kirby, highlighting a new era of innovation in accessible travel.

    • Ben Kirby, having joined Enable Holidays in 2017, brings fresh insights from FCM Travel Solutions, with a focus on expanding inclusive holiday opportunities.
    • Under Ben Kirby’s leadership, Enable Holidays aims to pioneer new standards in accessibility and tailored travel experiences.
    • The company looks forward to fostering collaboration among the travel industry, local communities, and governments to achieve universal accessibility.
    • Lynne Kirby continues her involvement with Enable Holidays as an active board member, ensuring continuity and strategic guidance.

A major transition has occurred at Enable Holidays, a frontrunner in accessible travel, as the founder Lynne Kirby steps down from her role as managing director. Lynne Kirby, who has been integral in driving the company since its inception in 2004, continues to support the brand as a member of the board of directors.

Ben Kirby, who joined Enable Holidays from FCM Travel Solutions, took up his new role as managing director. Having played a crucial role in steering the company through the challenges of the pandemic as general manager, Kirby now intends to expand the company’s reach and improve the travel services offered to those requiring special facilities.

In a statement, Ben Kirby expressed his vision of accessible travel, stating, “Accessible travel is not just about assistance at the airport and a few adaptations in the accommodation; it’s more a case of providing a tailor-made service and supporting our customers to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.”

While Lynne Kirby steps back from daily operations, her continued influence on the board ensures that Enable Holidays remains grounded in its founding principles of inclusive travel. Her expertise is seen as pivotal in guiding the company through this new chapter.

The baton of leadership at Enable Holidays passes to Ben Kirby, marking a promising new chapter in expanding accessible travel opportunities.
