In a significant reshuffle at Celebrity Cruises, Claire Stirrup is expanding her role, marking 2024 as a transformative year for the brand.

    • Claire Stirrup is now the senior sales director for EMEA, overseeing all sales for the UK, Ireland, and EMEA regions.
    • Lisa Rose has departed from her role as marketing director, with Jody Wallace stepping up as commercial marketing director EMEA.
    • Gerard Nolan’s expanded role now includes commercial and revenue responsibilities for the Asia-Pacific region.
    • The new sales structure aims to optimize growth and efficiency across key EMEA markets in partnership with trade and international partners.

Claire Stirrup’s new position as senior sales director EMEA at Celebrity Cruises signifies a major organisational change. Her responsibilities now encompass overseeing sales activities throughout the UK, Ireland, and broader EMEA regions under the leadership of Giles Hawke, EMEA vice president & managing director. The strategic move is indicative of Celebrity Cruises’ commitment to strengthening its foothold in the premium cruise market.

In the shake-up, Lisa Rose, the former marketing director, has departed the business. Rising to the occasion, Jody Wallace has been promoted to commercial marketing director EMEA. He joins Hawke’s EMEA leadership team with the objective of expanding the brand’s presence and influence across key markets in the region.

Alongside these changes, Gerard Nolan has seen an expansion in his role. Now covering commercial and revenue responsibilities for the Asia-Pacific region, Nolan will build upon his existing duties, assisting in the integration of Celebrity Cruises’ offerings across different markets.

The restructuring under Stirrup is designed to drive best practices and improve operational efficiencies, crucial for growth in strategic markets. By working closely with trade partners and extending international representation, Celebrity Cruises aims to better align its sales team with the brand’s core objectives.

EMEA vice president Giles Hawke emphasised the importance of the year 2024 as pivotal for the brand. As Celebrity Cruises aims to grow its premium cruise operations, particularly in Europe with ships like Celebrity Apex stationed seasonally in Southampton, the newly formed leadership team is poised to capitalise on emerging opportunities.

The strategic restructuring at Celebrity Cruises affirms its focus on enhancing growth and operational efficiencies in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions for 2024.
