Kyle Haughton joins Visit Jersey as a new non-executive director, representing a strategic move for the tourism board.

    • With over 35 years in the travel and hospitality sectors, Haughton’s experience is a significant asset to Visit Jersey.
    • Joining alongside Martin George, they’re set to replace outgoing board members, continuing the organisation’s dynamic leadership.
    • The appointments follow recent strategic additions to the board, including Claire Bentley and new chief executive Tricia Warwick.
    • Chair Lisa Springate hails the appointments as crucial to strengthening Jersey’s position in global tourism.

Kyle Haughton, an industry veteran, has been appointed as a non-executive director of Visit Jersey, alongside Martin George, the former customer director at Waitrose. This move is part of a strategic shake-up aimed at bolstering the leadership team of the island’s tourism body.

Haughton brings over 35 years of experience in travel and hospitality to the role, having served as managing director at City Cruises and as a director at First Choice Holidays. His extensive background also includes senior positions at BAA, Sunworld Holidays, and Funway Holidays.

The recent board changes come on the heels of British Airways Holidays managing director Claire Bentley’s appointment as a non-executive director last October. Additionally, Tricia Warwick, a former Visit Britain director, was appointed Visit Jersey’s chief executive last April, illustrating a pattern of strategic leadership enhancements.

Visit Jersey chair, Lisa Springate, expressed optimism about the new appointments, stating, “It is an exciting, rapidly changing time for global tourism and we are delighted to welcome Martin and Kyle to the Visit Jersey Board. Their wealth of experience and diverse skill sets complement the existing expertise on the board, and will strengthen Jersey’s position as we work to build a vibrant, sustainable visitor economy.”
