The International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum (IWTTF) will feature a significant discussion on inclusive leadership this June.

    • Intrepid Travel’s Darrell Wade and Zina Bencheikh are set to share their insights on inclusive leadership in London.
    • The event will be moderated by Alessandra Alonso, the founder of IWTTF, highlighting the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
    • IWTTF 2024 is scheduled to be held at Google’s offices, with preceding awards at Expedia’s headquarters.
    • Both Wade and Bencheikh are expected to provide valuable contributions to the DEI conversation.

The upcoming International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum (IWTTF) promises to be an influential event this June, hosting a notable discourse on inclusive leadership. Intrepid Travel’s co-founder, Darrell Wade, alongside EMEA Managing Director, Zina Bencheikh, will take the stage to shed light on this essential topic in London.

Alessandra Alonso, the founder and managing director of IWTTF, will moderate this session, reinforcing the forum’s core mission to advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the travel industry. The IWTTF Awards, recognising leading figures in these areas, will precede the forum at Expedia’s headquarters, underlining the sector’s dedication to these principles.

Alonso remarked on the longstanding partnership with Intrepid Travel, stating, “Zina and the team at Intrepid have been with us since the beginning and have been an integral part of our mission and growth.” This collaboration has been pivotal to the forum’s development, and the inclusion of both Wade and Bencheikh in this year’s discussions is highly anticipated.

Zina Bencheikh expressed her enthusiasm about Wade’s participation: “I am delighted Darrell can join us at IWTTF this year. He is an incredible leader for our business and very supportive of me personally in my role.” Her commendation highlights the effective leadership within Intrepid and its alignment with the values of DEI.

Darrell Wade added his perspective on the significance of DEI to Intrepid Travel, stating, “DEI is central to our whole ethos at Intrepid, from our teams – with some incredible women from a range of backgrounds in leadership roles across the business – to our product that includes women-only tours and local projects that foster deep connections with the communities we visit.” This statement underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to cultivating an inclusive environment both internally and in customer experiences.

The IWTTF event will undoubtedly provide a platform for pivotal discussions on inclusive leadership within the travel industry.
