European boat rental company Le Boat is set to revolutionise the boating industry with a landmark £100 million investment in its fleet.

    • Over the next decade, Le Boat will significantly expand, planning to introduce 400 new vessels.
    • This expansion includes a venture into North America, enhancing both charter and sales operations.
    • A crucial partnership with Groupe Beneteau will facilitate Le Boat’s ambitious growth plans.
    • The new Liberty range, featuring superior cabin designs, will be available from 2025, with competitive pricing options.

European boat rental company Le Boat has announced a major investment, plotting a course for a £100 million expansion of its fleet over the next ten years. In a strategic move to dominate the self-drive boating holidays sector, Le Boat plans to add 400 new vessels to its international fleet. This ambitious plan signals a significant enhancement of their existing operations and fleet diversity.

Looking forward, Le Boat aims to tap into the North American market, seeking to expand its reach and offerings beyond Europe. This initiative targets both charter services and boat sales, opening new avenues for revenue and customer engagement. Such expansive plans highlight Le Boat’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to growth.

Facilitating these robust expansion plans is a pivotal agreement with Groupe Beneteau, a renowned name in boat and leisure home manufacturing. This partnership ensures that Le Boat’s vision for fleet expansion is backed by the expertise and resources of Delphia, a Polish shipyard owned by Groupe Beneteau.

The fleet expansion includes the introduction of the Liberty range, a series of premium boats designed to redefine the boating experience. Slated to launch next year, these vessels offer one to two-cabin configurations, with prices for a week’s hire starting at £2,000. Emphasising comfort and luxury, these boats will be available from select bases across France, Germany, England, and the Netherlands.

Cheryl Brown, Managing Director of Le Boat, expressed enthusiasm about the venture, highlighting the longstanding partnership with Groupe Beneteau. She commented, “We’re delighted to be building upon our long-standing relationship with Groupe Beneteau to support the next stage of Le Boat’s growth journey.” Brown further articulated that the expansion would enable Le Boat to deliver high-quality river cruisers to customers, as well as facilitate entry into the North American market.

Le Boat’s strategic plans for fleet expansion underscore its commitment to enhancing the boating holiday experience and tapping into new markets.
