The highly anticipated Allura, Oceania Cruises’ eighth ship, makes a significant milestone by floating out of dry dock in Italy.

    • The 1,200-passenger ship is the second in its class, following the Vista, and is poised to enhance luxury cruising in the Mediterranean and beyond.
    • Final construction phases at Fincantieri shipyard are underway, focusing on exquisite suites, lounges, and dining facilities.
    • The Allura is scheduled to begin its journey by sailing from Trieste to Athens on July 18, 2025, before heading to North America.
    • Oceania Cruises President, Frank Del Rio, emphasises Allura’s role in elevating the cruise line’s status within the ultra-premium segment.

In a notable advancement for Oceania Cruises, their new ship, Allura, has successfully floated out of the dry dock in Italy. This event signifies a key progression as the ship moves closer to joining the fleet in summer 2025. The Allura mirrors the design and capacity of the Vista, introduced in May 2023, positioning itself as a pivotal component in Oceania’s strategy to expand their ultra-premium offerings.

Construction at the esteemed Fincantieri shipyard continues with a focus on the final stages, where the attention to detail in the design of suites, lounges, and restaurants will set Allura apart as a hallmark of luxury and comfort. This dedication to quality promises an enhanced experience for its 1,200 passengers, highlighting Oceania Cruises’ commitment to offering superior amenities and services.

The Allura’s inaugural voyage is scheduled for July 18, 2025, departing from Trieste and charting a course through the eastern Mediterranean to Athens. After enriching the Mediterranean cruising experience, Allura will cross to North America, signaling its versatility and broad appeal. The ship’s itinerary further includes a brief journey departing New York City, before ultimately repositioning to Miami for its winter Caribbean schedule.

Frank Del Rio, the President of Oceania Cruises, acknowledged the importance of this step in Allura’s development, stating: “The float out is an important moment for all at Oceania Cruises and Fincantieri, as we progress closer to Allura joining our family.” Del Rio’s remarks underscore the strategic importance of the Allura in reinforcing Oceania Cruises’ reputation for luxury and exclusivity.

The Allura is set to redefine luxury cruising as it joins Oceania Cruises’ fleet, enhancing their offerings worldwide.
