Sri Lanka emerges as a prominent winter sun destination in new travel offerings.

    • Just Go! Holidays and National Holidays venture into long-haul destinations with Sri Lanka.
    • New winter sun programmes include varied duration stays in Sri Lanka at competitive prices.
    • Exclusive offers feature extended stays and all-inclusive packages for travellers.
    • Sri Lanka addition reflects growing demand for diverse and exotic travel experiences.

Sri Lanka has been introduced as the first long-haul destination by Just Go! Holidays and National Holidays. This move marks a significant expansion into long-haul markets for the sister brands. Travellers are now presented with the chance to explore Sri Lanka through newly released winter sun programmes.

The programmes offer four different holiday durations at the beachfront Tangerine Beach Hotel in Kalutara. Departures are available on selected dates between October 2024 and May 2025. Customers can opt for 11, 15, 22, or 29-night stays, catering to a variety of travel preferences and schedules.

A notable feature of these programmes is the ‘four weeks for the price of three’ offer. This promotion allows travellers to enjoy a 29-night stay starting from £2,499 per person in May 2025, which includes all-inclusive accommodation, return flights, four excursions, and transfers. Additional pre-tour options are available for an extra fee, enhancing the travel experience.

Limited no single supplement rooms are also part of this offering, allowing solo travellers to benefit without incurring extra charges. Chris Simmonds, chief executive of the JG Travel Group, highlighted this milestone, stating that these are their largest ever offerings. This expansion into long-haul destinations, especially with the inclusion of Sri Lanka, represents a pivotal development for the brands.

The decision to incorporate Sri Lanka came from insights showing that customers are increasingly willing to travel further and trust these brands for their long-distance adventures. Alongside Sri Lanka, Albufeira on Portugal’s Algarve has been added to the offerings, complementing other popular locations like Benidorm, Calpe, Malta, and Cyprus. This diversification aims to address the rising demand for winter escapes from the UK.

The introduction of Sri Lanka to the travel options reflects an adaptive approach to meet evolving traveller preferences.
