Stitchtopia returns as a leading brand for craft holidays, now under the stewardship of Leger Shearings Group.

    • Acquired from Arena Travel’s administration aftermath in 2022, the brand is set to invigorate interest among crafting enthusiasts.
    • Stitchtopia’s offerings are commissionable to travel agents, enhancing market reach and engagement.
    • With expert-led small group workshops, the brand promises skill enhancement and creative exploration.
    • Crafting activities include knitting, crochet, patchwork, quilting, embroidery, set in premium accommodations.

Following the acquisition of Stitchtopia by Leger Shearings Group from Arena Travel, which faced administration in 2022, the crafting holiday brand is strategically positioned to rejuvenate its market presence. Stitchtopia’s holidays are fully commissionable to travel agents, complying with Abta and Atol protections, thereby offering both security and profitability.

Stitchtopia curates intimate crafting experiences by restricting each holiday to a maximum of 18 participants, ensuring personal attention and a community atmosphere. The tours are not only led by experts in the craft sector but also feature workshops by renowned figures such as Hazel Tindall, acknowledged as the world’s fastest knitter, providing attendees with unparalleled access to top-tier skill acquisition.

Participants can select from a variety of craft forms, including knitting, crochet, patchwork, quilting, embroidery, and textiles. These tours are available within the UK, across Europe, and on a global scale, offering attendees unique opportunities to engage with local crafting traditions and methodologies.

Accommodation provided on these tours is predominantly of four-star standard, centrally located, and equipped with wellness amenities. This aligns with Stitchtopia’s aim to blend crafting with relaxation, featuring activities like yoga and Pilates to complement the crafting sessions.

Ashley Dellow, the Head of Retail Sales, emphasised: “Stitchtopia is the UK’s number one tour operator for craft holidays. Our tours are fully escorted, providing a seamless experience from start to finish.” The option to immerse oneself in a conducive, creative environment alongside fellow enthusiasts underpins the programme’s appeal.

Stitchtopia’s resurgence under Leger Shearings Group marks a pivotal moment for craft tourism, promising enriching experiences for avid creators.
