Trainline’s B2B division appoints its first dedicated leader, marking a strategic move in the European rail market.

    • Alice Coverlizza joins Trainline as vice-president from Italian platform Everli, where she was chief business officer.
    • Based in Milan, Coverlizza will spearhead Trainline Partner Solutions, focusing on European market growth.
    • Responsibilities include global distribution and IT solutions, enhancing Trainline’s offerings for business travel.
    • Her appointment is set against the backdrop of rising business travel interest in rail, emphasizing Trainline’s leadership ambitions.

In a significant strategic shift, Trainline has appointed Alice Coverlizza as the first dedicated leader of its B2B arm, Trainline Partner Solutions. This move comes amid growing interest in rail travel from the business sector, highlighting Trainline’s commitment to strengthening its position in the European market.

Coverlizza, who previously served as the chief business officer at Italian grocery platform Everli, now steps into the role of vice-president at Trainline. Her appointment is hailed as a pivotal moment in Trainline’s European expansion strategy, leveraging her extensive experience in business operations.

Stationed in Milan, which is strategically positioned to steer Trainline’s growth in the liberalised European rail markets, Coverlizza will lead Trainline Partner Solutions. Her duties extend to overseeing global distribution, offering indirect ticket sales partnerships with business travel retailers, and advancing IT solutions.

The scope of her role includes providing white label services to carriers and retailers both within the UK and internationally. Furthermore, she will spearhead Trainline Business, aiming to retail directly to companies, particularly focusing on small and medium enterprises. This venture coincides with the increasing recuperation of business travel in the UK and Europe, underlining the heightened interest in rail travel from the business sphere.

This is an exciting time to join Trainline.”

Alice Coverlizza’s leadership at Trainline Partner Solutions is poised to elevate the company’s stature in the European B2B rail sector.
