Tui is set to launch its maiden Nile river cruise ship, Tui Al Horeya, next month, revealing its features ahead of the debut.

    • The 145-passenger vessel marks Tui’s first venture outside European waterways, with a maiden voyage scheduled for November 7.
    • A multi-functional top deck offers a swimming pool, two hot tubs, and converts into an al fresco dining area at night.
    • Passengers can enjoy exclusive, locally-inspired cuisine at Felucca, a reservation-only venue accommodating 30 guests per evening.
    • Head of river cruises, Katy Berzins, highlights the focus on quality and flexibility for Tui Al Horeya’s onboard facilities.

Tui has announced its upcoming Nile river cruise aboard the Tui Al Horeya, marking its first foray outside traditional European routes. The ship, accommodating 145 passengers, is slated to begin its journey on November 7. The multi-functional top deck features a swimming pool and two hot tubs, which are transformed into a charming dining space under the stars each evening.

Among the dining options, the Felucca stands out as a reservation-only venue with a capacity of 30 guests. It offers a selection of locally-inspired dishes such as shish veal kebab, boneless chicken, and beef kofta, all served with rice. Another dining highlight is Lazeeza, meaning ‘delicious’ in Arabic, which provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. A gala dinner event is organised for each journey in Lazeeza, serving a seven-course Egyptian meal.

For entertainment, the Observatory area comes to life at night with traditional performances, quizzes, music, and films. Complementing the entertainment is a wellness area, including a massage room and exercise facilities with a treadmill and cycling machine.

Katy Berzins, the head of river cruises for Tui, expressed the emphasis on flexibility and high-quality venues for their guests: “We have focused on Tui Al Horeya having quality venues, with flexibility in mind for all our customers.” She elaborated on the design decisions, mentioning the journey from European waterways to the Nile, providing customers a unique way to explore Egypt.

The offering to pair with Tui’s flights ensures a complete and immersive travel experience, allowing guests to fully enjoy every moment on board.

The Tui Al Horeya promises a unique and flexible cruising experience on the Nile, heralding a new chapter for Tui Cruises.
