Aerovolt UK Ltd, a leader in developing smart aircraft charging networks, has partnered with 3 Legs Aviation Services Ltd, a prominent light aircraft handling provider based on the Isle of Man. This strategic collaboration aims to introduce electric aircraft charging solutions at Isle of Man Airport (Ronaldsway Airport), marking a major advancement in sustainable aviation infrastructure for the island.

Aerovolt intends to install a fixed 44kW AS6968 charging point at Ronaldsway Airport, designed to support aircraft charging across various operations, including flight training, business, and commercial aviation. Beyond the charging infrastructure, the partnership will also explore the potential for introducing electric flight training programs, further promoting eco-friendly aviation practices and contributing to reducing carbon emissions.

“We are excited to partner with 3 Legs Aviation Services to bring cutting-edge electric aircraft charging solutions to the Isle of Man,” said Philip Kingsley-Dobson, Founder of Aerovolt UK Ltd. “This collaboration underscores our dedication to expanding the UK’s electric aircraft charging network and supporting the transition to zero-emission aviation.”

Mark Langley, Founder of 3 Legs Aviation Services Ltd, added, “Our partnership with Aerovolt represents a significant step forward in enhancing the sustainability of aviation services at Ronaldsway Airport. By providing state-of-the-art electric aircraft charging facilities, we are paving the way for a greener future in aviation on the Isle of Man.”

This initiative is part of Aerovolt’s broader mission to deploy a global network of chargers for electric aircraft, eVTOLs, and drones, working alongside manufacturers, regulators, and airport operators to facilitate the growth of zero-emission aviation. The company’s efforts have already seen the successful installation of charging systems at multiple UK airports, contributing to the development of sustainable air transportation infrastructure.
