United Airlines Jackson Hole Nonstop Launches from Boston Logan This February

United Airlines is to operate its first United Airlines Jackson Hole nonstop service from Boston Logan International Airport across seven Saturdays between 13 February and 20 March 2027, giving New England travellers a same-day connection to one of the country’s most sought-after winter resort markets without an overnight layover.

The route was developed in partnership with Jackson Hole Air Improvement Resources (JH AIR), a nonprofit that works to attract commercial air service to the destination. All flights will be operated on 126-seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft. Outbound services depart Boston at 10:20 a.m., arriving in Jackson Hole at 1:45 p.m.; the return departs at 12:40 p.m. and lands at 7:30 p.m.

JH AIR and United Airlines Jackson Hole Nonstop Partnership Delivers Day-of Perks

The JH AIR partnership has produced a package of incentives for passengers beyond the schedule convenience alone. All travellers on the new nonstop are eligible for a free lift ticket on their day of arrival, redeemable at Jackson Hole Sports in Teton Village on presentation of a boarding pass or other proof of travel. A complimentary equipment rental is also included, meaning passengers can move directly from the gate to the slopes.

Wyoming State Sen. Mike Gierau, speaking on behalf of the JH AIR Board, welcomed the announcement. ‘The JH AIR Board is excited to announce new nonstop winter 2026-27 service between Boston and Jackson. We have always punched above our weight in attracting Boston skiers. Our destination and ski terrain are a strong fit for this market, and a nonstop flight will make many returning skiers very happy,’ he said in a statement.

Three ski areas sit within reach of Jackson Hole: Snow King Mountain Resort in the town of Jackson itself, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, and Grand Targhee Resort across the Teton Pass. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort was ranked the number-one ski resort in the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, a profile that has helped sustain strong demand from the eastern seaboard.

Route Fills the Last Gap in United’s Hub Network

Boston Logan is the final United hub to gain any form of direct access to Jackson Hole. The carrier’s Denver hub already operates nonstop flights to the destination year-round, and all other hubs hold at least seasonal direct service. United is currently the only airline offering this specific city pair, which may accelerate load factor growth in the early weeks of the new service.

The carrier has recorded strong bookings on its connecting itineraries between Boston and Jackson Hole, and the seasonal nonstop is understood to be a test of whether a regular annual rotation can be sustained. Seven operating Saturdays gives United sufficient data to assess whether the route warrants retention in the 2027-28 winter schedule or should be retired.

The commercial case for continued investment in the destination is supported by broader travel spending data. According to the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board, travel-generated spending in Jackson Hole reached $1.874 billion in 2025, a figure that underlines the market’s capacity to absorb new air capacity rather than simply redistribute existing demand across more seats.

The previous absence of nonstop service from Boston meant travellers faced overnight connections to reach Jackson Hole in time for a full first day on the mountain. The new schedule resolves that, with a mid-morning departure and an early-afternoon arrival giving passengers time to collect their complimentary lift ticket and rental equipment before last lifts.

United has not disclosed whether advance booking volumes on the new route have been shared with JH AIR, though the partnership structure, combining a free-of-charge arrival incentive with an established nonprofit advocacy body, follows a model that several smaller destination airports have used to convert trial routes into permanent fixtures. The airline’s decision to proceed with all seven Saturdays as a block rather than a rolling commitment suggests a degree of confidence in Boston’s appetite for direct Wyoming ski access. Tickets for the 13 February service are available now through United.
