Jet2 extends Summer 23 season to Dalaman and Izmir

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, the UK airline and tour operator to Turkey, has said that it is extending Summer 2023 to Dalaman and Izmir by starting the services earlier.

The expansion means that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will start flying to Dalaman from March 17 next year, giving holidaymakers and independent travel agents more choice to reach Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. In addition, the companies are also bringing forward the start of flights to Izmir for Summer 23, with flights now operating from April 15.

The announcement comes after Jet2 brought forward the start of their Summer 23 season to Bodrum, with flights operating from the beginning of April. This is in addition to year-round services operating to Antalya from all ten of the company’s UK bases.

The extended season to Dalaman comes into effect from six UK bases, with multiple weekly flights now commencing from Birmingham ( March 17), Bristol (March 17), Glasgow (April 2), Leeds Bradford ( March 20), Manchester ( March 17) and London Stansted (March 17). Resorts on sale include Olu Deniz, Marmaris, Iclemer and Dalyan.

Flights and holidays to Izmir will start earlier in the season from the following three bases too – Birmingham ( April 18), Manchester ( April 15) and London Stansted (April 17). Izmir is at the top end of Turkey’s Turquoise Coast and offers seaside fun in resorts such as Kusadasi and Ozdere, long with old town walls hiding tavernas and bustling bazaars, plus ancient sites close by, such as Ephesus.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: ‘Dalaman and Izmir are both enormously popular with customers and independent travel agents, and there is huge demand for both destinations and not just during the peak summer season. We have experienced a remarkable period of growth in Turkey on the back of this sustained demand, and we have continued to demonstrate our commitment to Turkey by working alongside the Turkish government, hoteliers and our partners to bring more UK holidaymakers to this wonderful country. By extending the Summer 23 season to Dalaman and Izmir, we are continuing to demonstrate that commitment and we know just how popular these additional services will be.’

Arzu Kahraman Yilmaz, Counsellor of The Turkish Culture and Information Office, said: ‘With both Dalaman and Izmir witnessing a surge in travellers for both short and long breaks throughout the year, the extended routes from the regional airports in the UK to these iconic hotspots will make travel to Turkiye ever more easy.’
