‘By increasing capacity and frequency on existing routes, passengers will have more choice and flexibility without having to travel to other airports. Operating one of the most modern aircraft fleets in Europe, and in particular Airbus’ A321 neo, we are very proud to have them as a highly valued and key partner at the airport.

‘We look forward to working with them for many years to come as they continue to develop and grow their services from London Stansted.’

Connecting people, places, and cultures is at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud to continue this mission, taking passengers between the UK, Turkiye and beyond.

‘We continually strive to offer the best possible experience on our well-connected low-cost flights and further our sustainability initiatives.’

Since launching operations from Stansted in 2007 with a single scheduled flight to Istanbul, the airline has expanded significantly carrying over six million passengers on routes from the airport.

Tui announces Dalaman flights from Teeside Airport for summer 2024

From Summer 2024, Teesside Airport passengers will be able to take a trip to Turkey’s Turquoise Coast with a new flight to Dalaman, operated by travel firm and airline, Tui.

This marks the second destination in Turkey for Teesside Airport, after TUI announced flights to Antalya last year. The news of the new weekly route to Dalaman, which will fly to and from Teesside every Tuesday from May 28 until September 17, comes just days after TUI revealed that it would be doubling the number of flights from Teesside to Majorca next summer. This move will mean more flexibility on stays. The two flights a week to Majorca are also on sale now for 2024.

TUI flights to Antalya are also on sale for next summer, operating every Thursday from May 25 to September 21.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said, ‘Our summer flights saw some of the highest passenger numbers seen for decades – thanks to local people backing our airport, airlines are backing us by giving them more of the flights people want. Just a few days ago, TUI doubled the number of Palma flights for next summer, and now they’ve added another popular holiday spot to Dalaman, Turkey from Summer 2024. This is yet another massive vote of confidence in our fantastic airport and this is helping us turn it around to become the success we all know it can be. We’re greedy. We still want Tenerife, we still want Malaga, but it’s a journey. If we keep getting support from the people of Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool, we will get them and we will get there.’
